Former Grover Beach Mayor Debbie Peterson

As some of you know, I wrote a book in 2019 called Defamers: How Fake News Terrorized a Community & Those Who Dared to Fight It. It’s almost the four-year anniversary of a book I wrote about the online tabloid Cal Coast News, their false and deceptive reporting practices, and the conspiracy theories they apparently still cling to. Why else would one of their prized sycophants, former Grover Beach mayor Debbie Peterson, continue to review-bomb my book after all this time?

Last month, I received an email from a couple of interested readers who wanted to purchase a copy. They came across some bizarre reviews of my book from Peterson and some anonymous blockhead who sounds an awful lot like a certain disgraced “activist” who is closely associated with Peterson. I’m smitten with the concept of being paid royalties by people who are obsessed with a near four-year-old book.

Debbie Peterson’s second review about my book on Amazon.com

In her latest review dated January 4, the former mayor falsely decreed that I “demean (mostly) women on [my] various sites,” which resulted in restraining orders [plural] and “the requirement for additional security at events when his posts provoke obscene…
